Tanzania is considered to be the best safari destination on earth. Therefore it would be a shame to come all the way here and not take advantage of the wildlife viewing opportunities. The country has more protected areas than any other African country.

At Wabantu Trekking & Safaris we offer private safaris with one to seven day itineraries. We would be glad to work with you to find your perfect safari trip, meeting all your requirements. Our safaris include accommodation in lodges and permanent tented camps, strategically located in the heart of the action in Serengeti National Park, Tarangire National Park and Karatu, which is an ideal base for excursions into Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Eyasi and Lake Manyara.
We only use four wheel drive Toyota Land Cruisers for all our safaris – this is the standard for all safaris in Africa. We have a fleet of well-maintained vehicles with custom pop up roofs for the best game viewing experiences. Our Land Cruisers can comfortable seat from four to seven passengers.
All tours are staffed by professional Safari Guides who have years of experience and an intimate knowledge of all the National Parks of Northern Tanzania. Our Safari Guides know where to find the wildlife, through their vast experience and through a unique network of communication with other guides.
They can spot animals from great distances, and do their best to bring you very close to them for an unforgettable encounter with Africa’s majestic animals.
Safari Itineraries
Below are our safari itineraries, all of which can be modified to suit your own requirements on request. You decide what you want to see and for how long, you can depart on any day, for any period, but a minimum of three days is recommended, our fiveday itinerary is the most popular choice, and gives you more opportunity to see the “Big 5”
We can also offer one day Walking Safaris in Ngorongoro Crater and Arusha National Park, these can also be combined with other safari itineraries.
Our safaris start and end from either Moshi or Arusha, we commence around 8am on day one, and end in the mid afternoon on the last day.

Breakfast, Drive to Olduvai Gorge with picnic lunch. Proceed to Serengeti. Dinner and overnight.

Breakfast, Full day game drive in Serengeti. Picnic Lunch. Dinner and overnight.

Note that we do not visit the Serengeti on itineraries less than 4 days. The Serengeti is an 8-hour direct drive from Moshi, and shorter itineraries do not allow time to travel and view game. Our 5 day safari is our most popular itinerary. It visits four parks and is highly recommended.
